This would be me if I were in the Pokémon world. Let a girl have nightmares! Hover over things to read some words!
Hex Maniac. This would be me: Miss Gloom!~ I'd like to be surrounded by ghosts, and otherwise spooky Pokémon, while living in my old, faraway, shadowy, crumbling, haunted mansion. I think they would understand me more than people would... and I would understand them more than most people would, too. We'd have this place of darkness to ourselves, and we'd like it that way. Just let me be the creepy ghost girl.
Shuppet searches for dark, negative emotions, like envy, sorrow, and anguish, and consumes them to grow. They will swarm together and hide around the houses of people who have these strong feelings. They are very active at night, but retreat in the day. (Like I tend to be!) I think they would have no shortage of food when living around me.

Gourgeist comes out on new moons, deep into the night. It wanders, singing an eerie lullaby with a smile. If one hears its song, they have already been cursed. It enjoys causing suffering, strangling its enemies and prey with its hair-like arms before casting them off to the afterlife, all while joyfully singing. This is my favorite Pokémon, as I find it so eerily beautiful.
Pumpkaboo is a little pumpkin that contains a trapped spirit. Until it can move on itself, it helps wandering spirits pass on to the afterlife. It becomes active at night, and apparently its two little holes on its body produce light that can hypnotize and control other beings. There are different sizes of Pumpkaboo with different tendencies, but are all spooky and adorable.

Gothorita is most at home under a night sky which is brighly lit with stars. During these times, it becomes happy and wants to share this feeling. So it hypnotizes children, turning them into its friends and playing far into the magical night. Then it will spirit them away~ If I were to be any Pokémon, it would probably be this gothic lolita-inspired cutie. I would not mind being called the Witch of Punishment.
Mismagius is quite clearly based on the concept of witches. It is a magic user, casting spells, chanting incantations, and placing curses. Most of the time, these spells cause terrifying ailments, like headaches and hallucinations, that torment their recipients. However, depending on its whims, it may grant you positive effects as well, like happiness and love. I think I'd go with the horrifying visions, myself.
Litwick is a little cute-looking candle. It will hide in dark places where people are bound to get lost. Then its light will appear, and it will guide them away. It may seem that this tiny ghost is helping the lost person, but the flame on its head is a sign that it is draining their life force, and it is really guiding them to the spirit world, never to be seen again. The younger the life of the spirits it burns, the brighter its eerie flame shines.

Lampent fuels its grim fire by burning souls which are on the brink of death. It likes to hang (sometimes literally, as it pretends to be a real lamp) around places where dying occurs often. It is feared as a harbinger of loss, as when it begins quietly following someone, you can be sure that person is about to die.
Gothitelle possesses abundant psychic powers. By gazing deeply at the stars, into the outermost reaches of space, it can sense far into the future—so far that it knows how the universe will meet its end. It knows how each living thing will die, and while it is often sad about this knowledge, it also knows how beautiful it all really is. It's also able to give others psychic visions, sharing the black sight of oblivion.
Chandelure prefers to live in and haunt dilapidated mansions. It will swing around, like a precariously dangling chandelier, to hypnotize its victims. Then, with its ghastly fire, it will scoop them up and burn them alive, absorbing the spirit and leaving the lifeless body behind. The spirits that are burned by Chandelure are said to wander forever, lost and alone.
Cursola evolves from the Galarian form of Corsola, which turned ghostly and white due to climate change, causing mass death of the species. This evolved form is comprised of a broken shell, and a pallid encasement of ectoplasm, which contains Cursola's soul. This ectoplasm is retrieved by sucking life out of others, and if one touches it, they will immediately be still, as if frozen in shock.
Duskull roams in the umbral blackness of midnight. It has the abilities to pass through anything, and to turn invisible, as if it's not really there at all. It likes to scare people, especially children, and watch them cry. So once it chooses an individual as a target, it will chase them until sunrise, and if it catches them, it might even be able to spirit them away.
Dusclops is utterly hollow and empty. If one watches its hands as they are waved in a macabre manner, and look at its eye, they may be hypnotized to do its bidding. Its body cannot be touched, as anything that would make contact instead sinks into nothingness. It can absorb anything, no matter how big, and these things will all end up in the void. Nothing ever comes out once it sinks inside. How romantic. /srs
Banette was once a plush doll cherished by a human, but it was eventually forgotten about and abandoned, leaving it alone. Its hatred was so strong that it became possessed and alive, burdened with a painful grudge. It hunts and seeks the being who disowned it so it can takes its revenge. It is most often found in dismal, obscure alleys. If its mouth were to be opened, its cursed energy would be let free.
Trevenant is a dusky guardian of haunted forests. It cares very deeply about its home and will protect it fiercely. It controls the trees of its forest and can sense all that happens within it. If it senses someone harming the plants or attempting to cut down trees, it will not hesitate to place a deadly curse on that person. However, if they treat the forest kindly, Trevenant will also treat them with respect.
Phantump is created when a child gets hopelessly lost in a dark forest and perishes. Their spirit may inhabit a tree stump that becomes this Pokémon. Phantump likes to lure children into its forest to play by imitating innocent voices, although their real cries sound like terrible screams. Isn't that adorable? I'd like to get lost with one, far in the darkness.
Misdreavus sleeps in the deepest shadows it can find by day, and wakes at night. Its favorite thing to do is scare people, commonly by hiding in the darkness and popping out at people when they least expect it. It often combines this with yanking at its victim's hair, or sounding out shrieks of dismay. It gathers up this fear in its red crystals, storing it for nourishment.
Gothita is a mysterious little creature that seems to always be staring at something that others cannot see. It is detached and doesn't notice what is happening in its surroundings, because it is so intently focused on watching. It is unblinking and silent, except when it is muttering, seemingly communicating with the unknowable, or bawling, as a result of its little bows being touched, which are the sources of its psychic power.
Shiinotic is not a ghost, but it's no less spooky for it. In dark forests, it pulses out strange lights to confuse anyone who may be near. If one sees them, there is already no hope. Without a sound, it releases spores in the air, which make their victims fall fast asleep. Then, wearing its unsettling smile, it leeches their vitality through its long, unusual fingertips.
Morelull dozes off in the daytime, planting its roots into a tree for nourishment while other Pokémon eat its mushrooms. However, these quickly grow back, and once night falls, it awakens, searching in the damp environment for a new tree while its spores glow. These spores are released to put creatures to sleep that it feels it is being threatened by, and they shine unusual, vibrant colors.
Shedinja is an odd Pokémon that is sometimes created when a Nincada evolves into a Ninjask. It is a hollow shell that is entirely immobile, but floats in the air, even though its wings don't move. It does not breathe and its insides are apparently completely black. If one even steals a quick glimpse at the opening on its back, their spirit will be taken away. However, it appears totally unaware of its own morbid nature.
Sableye makes deep, lightless caverns its home. Instead of seeing monetary value in gemstones, it consumes them as its diet with its ultra-sharp teeth. They love gemstones so much that their eyes have evolved to take the shape of them. These reflective surfaces glint in the darkness and horrify all who see them. If one explores the depths of caves, they may be spirited away by this sneaking Pokémon.
Drifloon is a wanderer, floating aimlessly along. Its body contains a number of spirits. If it were for some reason popped open, the souls would come flying out with a screaming noise. It likes to find very small children and extend one of its strings so that the child will grasp it, and it can lead them far away. When it returns, its body has become subtly, but noticeably, larger. It for some reason likes and comes out in humid weather.
Drifblim gathers with others of its kind at dusk, before suddenly vanishing. It flies away, letting itself be carried by the wind to a random destination. No one who has ridden on a Drifblim during this time has ever returned. It is rumored that this Pokémon is filled with souls that are tormented with regret, and when it carries people away, they are being led peacefully to the afterlife.
Lunatone was first discovered at the site of a meteor crash, but it isn't certain that it originated from there. Its power is linked with lunar phases, and it is strongest and most active on nights of the full moon. It floats instead of ambulating, and certain people fear the gaze of its uncanny, scarlet eyes. However, others may find it calming, letting themselves fall into slumber.
Murkrow flies through the darkness of the night, bringing misfortune and misery everywhere it goes. It adores collecting shiny things, which it stores in secret compartments, and won't hesitate to steal people's belongings. Sometimes, it seems that it even means to be a thief, so that it can lure people out to remote locations, where they will be lost. The appearance of Murkrow is an omen of dismay.

Haunter lurks in the darkness, waiting in the shadows before coming out to take lives. It kills by licking its victims, which causes them to shake and shiver uncontrollably until death takes them. Its home is total blackness, and it hates light. No wall will stop it, as it can pass through them effortlessly. If one feels the sudden terror of being watched from the shadows, Haunter is behind them, about to place a curse.
Dusknoir acts as an emissary of the spirit world. With the yellow antenna on its head, it receives transmissions of radio waves from the other realm, ordering it to carry souls away. It eats the souls with the jagged mouth on its belly. During the rare occasions in which it takes the soul of a living being, it swallows the body whole, but only takes the spirit, spitting the flesh back out.
Purrloin is a mischievous and manipulative little kitty. It will act in the cutest manner possible, causing even the most stoic people to let down their guard, before stealing their possessions. It enjoys lying and tricking, and is able to defend itself by slashing with its sharp claws. It laughs at those who fall for its adorable facade.
